The second PARTE network meeting took place on 25 and 26 January 2019 at the University of Zurich. This meeting was organized by Elisabeth Stark, Elvira Glaser, Tabea Ihsane and Jan Davatz. The network meeting consisted of two parts: practical workshops and scientific presentations. The practical workshops on 25 January were a follow-up of the first network meeting, which took place in May 2018 in Amsterdam, and in which the setting up of a partitivity database was discussed. After the first network meeting the University of Zurich started to create the partitivity database. The goal of the practical workshops during the second network meeting was to familiarize the PARTE members with the design, analysis and visualization of geolinguistic data. After a very insightful introduction by Curdin Derungs in the morning of 25 January, Peter Ranacher instructed the PARTE members to analyze and visualize themselves geolinguistic partitivity data provided by some of the PARTE members.
During the session on 26 January PARTE members and associated member Francesco Pinzin presented their recent collaborative work on partitive determiners, partitive case and partitive pronouns. Associated member Ilmari Ivaska gave an interesting and illuminating presentation on his corpus research on Finnish partitive case.
